Project: "IMPROVING TRAINING THROUGH BENCHMARKING"

Summary:

The main objective of the project was to promote the evaluation and improvement of training through new innovative and effective methods. In the 6 courses that were organized and implemented emphasis was given on "Benchmarking" methodologies and on innovative evaluation and improvement methods for training.

The people who attended the courses originate from both public and private organizations, are involved in human resources and training procedures and they can be classified in the following categories:

- Designers and managers of training programs

- Training experts

- Trainers

- Staff of Training organizations (Universities, Vocational Training Centers, etc.)

- Managers and supervisors of human resources

- Managers of SMEs

- Technical staff

The main outcomes of the project are the following:

- Training programs and printed material.

- Main training material in CD-ROM.

- Training Courses (3 in Greece, 2 in Bulgaria and 1 in Slovakia).

- Methodologies for analyzing and forecasting training needs.

- Methodologies for evaluating and improving training processes.

- Methodologies for identifying new occupational profiles.

The project had a duration of 18 months and included three main operational phases:

Phase 1: Preparation of training courses – material – CD-ROM (1-6 months).

Phase 2: Implementation of one training course in Greece and one in Bulgaria – evaluation of results (7-12 months).

Phase 3: Implementation of two more training courses in Greece, one more in Bulgaria and one in Slovakia – evaluation and dissemination of project results (13-18 months).
